Your experience with clomid
The only side effects I had was I was hot and had hot flashes. I usually run cold, and I was sweating and didn't want blankets on me at night and wanted the air conditioner running when it was only 45 degrees outside.
My husband and son bundled up and I was dying from the heat. But I didn't have headaches or any of the other symptoms I have heard others complain about.
TTC almost 10 months. All my tests and labs came back normal, but my doctor thinks my progesterone could be better. It was 12 at 7dpo. I noticed a lot of ovualtion twinges in the days leading up to ovualtion. It certainly changed my hormones for the better after 6 months of taking it.
I would consider a more natural approach better all around. We felt so dismayed when we found out that we had been trying for a year and I was not ovulating. It is a hormone balancing herb which has been used for centuries. I would not guarantee it would cause you to O on your own but it may help as it could balance out your hormones, including the LH hormone which is important for O, and estrogen and progesterone. The blood work taken after 6 months of taking vitex showed a drop in FSH to more normal levels, a rise in AMH and an increase in both estrogen and progesterone.
In your case, if the lack of O is hormone related, fixing the hormones may sort the problem. Perhaps try it alongside the clomid regime so that down the track you could take a break from clomid and see if there is any difference?
Of course it will be great if you are pregnant too soon for the vitex to work as well. Anyway - may be worth trying. The first time that I took clomid I had started with cysts on my ovaries. I took 50mg cd I was not monitored by ultrasounds and will go see the doctor this week to get my "Clomid check" to make sure I don't have cysts before starting my next round I wish I was monitored by ultrasound near ovulation so I could see how I was responding I also had a very wonky year coming off birth control I had an ultrasound done in November and they said everything looked fine.
I've often wondered about PCOS but my dr hasn't mentioned it. I also had blood work done in September and everything was normal. I just don't know what is causing this to happen! We definitely sound like we have had similar experiences coming off the pill. I'm sorry that your temps are dropping! I had slightly brown tinged cm this morning and some light cramps last night but nothing today!? If af is indeed coming, I wish she would stop leaving me in limbo!
I did have ib with my last pregnancy in December but I'm just too bitter about all the other BFNs to believe that it's even possible this time.
My Clomid Experience

Next time I will still only take 50mg since my follicles with eggs in size were very close to viable at CD I have already given up any hope that this could be our cycle and clomid so irritated with my with not doing what it's supposed to do. Clomid - Good or Bad experiences?
Today is cycle day 8 so will be trading the last batch of the clomid and hoping to O sooner. I Love this board and knowing that I'm not alone!
